With the rise of e-cigarettes, the use of e-cigarettes around the world has produced explosive changes. As an emerging industry, e-cigarettes are still unstable and are greatly affected by policies and product upgrading, but the outbreak is very fast. The current global e-cigarette market statistics are as follows:
North America
The US: The world’s leading e-cigarette market, and more than 9 million users spend $3.7 billion annually on related products.
Canada: Canada’s e-cigarette market consists of approximately 308,000 to 946,000 users.
Mexico: It is legal to smoke e-cigarettes in Mexico, but it has strict restrictions on the sale, trade, distribution, production and promotion of non-tobacco products.

Europe
Russia: There are currently more than 1.5 million e-cigarette users, and there are more than 500 e-cigarette stores in Moscow alone. There are more than 1,400 stores across Russia.
Germany: There are currently more than 2 million e-cigarette users.
France: A national survey conducted by the French Drug and Drug Addiction Monitoring Center showed that between 7.7 and 9.2 million residents in France had tried e-cigarettes at some point.
Italy: Although the e-cigarette market in Italy continued to decline between 2014 and 2015, the growth in 2016 is promising. It is estimated that there are approximately 2.34 million ordinary e-cigarette users in Italy, of which 1.38 million are e-cigarette daily users.
Poland: There are 1.5 million e-cigarette users in Poland, spending about $129 million annually on e-cigarette related products.

Japan: In 2016, steam equipment and products generated more than $4.6 million in revenue in Japan.
Indonesia: Indonesia’s e-cigarette popularity is about 10.9%. Of these people, 2.5% used e-cigarettes.
Philippines: As many as 4 million people are using e-cigarettes.
Australia
12.2% of Australia’s population is a daily smoker, and nearly one-third (31%) of smokers have tried e-cigarettes. Only 4.4% of them regularly use about 29.94 million smokers. And there are about 129,000 regular e-cigarette users.
Africa
For most African countries, it can be assumed that there are no major e-cigarette communities. However, there are 200,000 e-cigarette users in South Africa, which have shown some growth momentum.
South America
E-cigarettes are strictly restricted and regulated, and only a small part exists.
In the past few years, some emerging countries have witnessed the explosive growth of e-cigarettes. Traditional tobacco giants have also laid out e-cigarettes in different regions. China, as a “world processing factory”, e-cigarette manufacturing will develop in Africa, which will become an important market for Chinese 3C products such as electronics.
