In Britain, there has been a shocking increase in the number of young people aged 11 to 17 who vape. According to a report by recycling group Material Focus, the percentage of young people vaping increased from 3.3% in 2021 to 7% last year. Additionally, the report found that disposable vape sales in the UK have skyrocketed to 138 million pieces per year.
This trend is not unique to Britain. Globally, there has been a significant increase in the popularity of single-use vapes. In the United States, the market for single-use vapes is worth $2 billion annually, and it already accounts for one-third of the country’s e-cigarette market. In many European countries, including the UK, the growth of single-use vapes has been explosive. Some UK distributors have described this growth as “GROW, GROW, and GROW”. Research institutions predict that by 2022, the global market for disposable vapes will reach $6.34 billion (equivalent to 36 billion RMB).
