Young people’s use of vapes drops by 70% after restricting flavors
A recent study has found that limiting the flavors of vapes to only tobacco flavor could reduce youth usage by 70%. This research suggests that eliminating fruity flavors and others would significantly decrease the appeal of vapes to teenagers.
The survey, which involved 1,414 vapers aged 14 to 21, revealed that nearly 38.8% of respondents said they would quit using e-cigarettes if they could only choose from tobacco and mint flavors. If only tobacco flavor was available, this proportion would soar to 70.8%. The results of the study were published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs.
