What works well
The dust cap is a thoughtful little detail. Many high-puff-count devices leave this out, and it helps keep the mouthpiece clean when the device is being carried around.
The vaping experience is above average. There are 18 flavors to choose from, covering most of the popular profiles on the market.
The 650mAh battery also does a good job. In Captain Dirty’s testing, it provided around one to two days of normal use.
There are two coil versions: Single Ceramic Coil and Dual Ceramic Coil. The two options cater to different preferences for the draw and flavor delivery.
What could be better
The flavors generally lean heavily toward cooling. Even the Single Ceramic Coil version feels quite icy, while the flavor layering is fairly ordinary.
It is also a shame that a device with 8mL of e-liquid has no adjustable airflow. The draw is fixed, and the overall experience here is unremarkable.
Conclusion
Among the high-capacity disposables available today, the YOOZ Innovator sits somewhere in the middle. It is some way off the leading group: flavor refinement and control of cooling and sweetness are all fairly average.
Still, this is a product aimed at the fast-moving disposable market, and it has an audience, particularly among vapers who enjoy a strong cooling effect.
For Captain Dirty, the overall performance earns a passing grade. Hopefully, future versions will bring better-tuned flavors and an improved vaping experience.
